Medical

Ouch. One fact of life that’s hard to avoid: At some point you’ll need medical care. Whether you’ve twisted your wrist, your kid has a fever, or you just need an annual checkup, Autodesk medical plans have you and your family covered.

COVID-19 testing

All employees and their covered dependents enrolled in an Autodesk medical plan can receive coverage for up to eight at-home COVID-19 tests per covered member per month. Find additional information and instructions by selecting your medical plan provider:

UnitedHealthcare (UHC)
Kaiser Permanente (CA and OR)

Tests must be FDA-approved, over-the-counter COVID-19 diagnostic tests and purchased on or after January 15, 2022.

There is no coverage change or limit for covered tests when a COVID-19 test is administered by a health care provider following a clinical assessment.

Your medical plan options

You have a choice of medical plans through UnitedHealthcare (UHC) and Kaiser, depending on where you live. Your cost per paycheck for medical coverage depends on which plan you choose and whether you cover any dependents. All plans provide comprehensive coverage, including:

  • Preventive care at no cost
  • Prescription drug coverage
  • An extensive network of medical providers and facilities
  • Emergency coverage when you are outside the United States for personal travel (UHC | Kaiser)

UnitedHealthcare Choice Plus High Deductible

Lowest paycheck contributions of all the plans. You pay nothing for employee-only coverage.

Highest deductible and out-of-pocket maximum. This means you’ll have less deducted from your paycheck, but you’ll pay more when you need care.

You can use any provider. You can visit any doctor, specialist, lab, or pharmacy, but your out-of-pocket costs will be lower when your providers are in the UHC Choice Plus network.

Only Autodesk plan paired with a tax-advantaged Health Savings Account to help you save on health care expenses.

UnitedHealthcare Choice Plus (PPO)

Paycheck contributions are higher than the UHC Choice Plus High Deductible plan but lower than the UHC Choice plan.

You can use any provider. You can visit any doctor, specialist, lab, or pharmacy, but your out-of-pocket costs will be lower when your providers are in the UHC Choice Plus network.

UnitedHealthcare Choice (EPO)

Paycheck contributions are the highest of the plans, but there’s no deductible to meet. This means that you’ll have more deducted from your paycheck, but you’ll pay less when you need care.

You can only use in-network providers (except for emergencies).

Kaiser

Only available in California and Oregon. Includes additional option for employees in our Pier 9 location, as required by the City of San Francisco.

Lowest out-of-pocket maximum, and no deductible.

You can only use in-network providers (except for emergencies).
