HSA, FSA, and 401(k) contribution limits

More Autodesk money for your Health Savings Account (HSA)

If you enrolled in the UnitedHealthcare (UHC) Choice Plus High Deductible plan, you have access to a tax-advantaged HSA to help you save on health care expenses. In 2024, Autodesk will contribute:

  • $45 per paycheck (that’s $1,170 if you’re enrolled for the whole year, up from $1,000 in 2023) if you have individual medical coverage
  • $90 per paycheck (that’s $2,340 if you’re enrolled for the whole year, up from $2,000 in 2023) if you have family coverage (yourself and at least one dependent)

That’s a whole lot of money that could go toward doctor and hospital visits, prescriptions, vision exams, and dental treatments—or toward saving for your future!

Note: To receive the employer contribution, you must make an active HSA election for 2024. If you don’t want to contribute to the HSA yourself, simply set your contribution to $0. You can update your election anytime during the year if you change your mind.

Contribute even more to your HSA in 2024

The IRS has increased the HSA contribution limits for 2024! That means you can contribute up to $4,150 if you’re enrolled in individual coverage and up to $8,300 if you’re enrolled in family coverage. If you’re 55 or older, you can throw in an additional $1,000. Keep in mind that these limits include any amounts that Autodesk contributes on your behalf.

Flexible spending account (FSA) contribution limits

The amount you can contribute to the heath care FSA in 2024 is increasing from $3,050 to $3,200, per IRS rules. The limit for the dependent care FSA remains at $5,000.

401(k) plan contribution limits

Through convenient pretax or after-tax (Roth) payroll contributions, you can contribute up to the IRS limit of $23,000 in 2024 (up from $22,500 in 2023) to the 401(k) plan. The catch-up contribution limit for those 50 or older remains at $7,500.

Employee contributions

Autodesk continues to experience the upward trend in health care costs, which has significantly increased the overall cost of our health insurance plans for 2024. We’ve historically covered the majority of these costs, and we’ll contribute more toward 2024 premiums to help keep your paycheck contribution increases at a more manageable level. See the 2024 rates.
